October is BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH:

Early detection and lifestyle choices are key to breast cancer awareness and risk reduction. Here are a few important tips:

1. Know Your Breasts (Breast Self-Awareness)

● Be familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel. This includes the entire area, extending to your armpit and collarbone.

• Look and feel for any changes, such as lumps.

2. Get Regular Screenings

● Mammograms are the most effective screening tool for many women.

3. Make Healthy Lifestyle Choices

● • Maintain a healthy weight.

• Be physically active. Aim for regular exercise.

 • Do not smoke, and avoid secondhand smoke.
